Independent Placements respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website, www.independentplacements.com (the “Site”). Independent Placements does not actively solicit information of persons outside the United States. Independent Placements is dedicated to helping candidates (the “Candidates”) find employment with educational institutions (the “Schools”) and assisting Schools to fulfill their human resource needs. Your information enables communication between Independent Placements, Candidates and Schools.

Information We Collect and Retain from Candidates
When you register on our Site, create a profile, become a member, renew membership, or register for an event, participate in a questionnaire, utilize our services, provide a success story, communicate with customer service, or send us an email, you provide us with information that we collect. Such information may include your name, address, telephone, email, age, preferences, gender, race or ethnicity, occupation, career history, and interests. In addition, you are required to submit professional documents such as a resume, cover letter, reference information and transcripts and you may also submit letters of reference. The information collected is used to communicate with you and Schools for the purpose of helping you find employment. Schools will have access to the information you provide to facilitate the interviewing and hiring process.

Information We Collect and Retain from Schools
When you register on our Site, create a profile, become a member, renew membership, post a job opening, or register for an event, participate in a questionnaire, communicate with another registered member, utilize our services, provide a success story, communicate with customer service or send us an email, you provide us with information that we collect. Such information may include your name, address, telephone, fax, email, photographs, website address and title. The information collected is used to communicate with you regarding membership (if applicable), our services, prospect candidates, fees, and consultations. At no time will we disclose any information about you, the Schools, with outside parties. We also collect contact information and position details from Schools when listing positions on our Site. This information is used to help find Candidate matches for the given position. We will not share any information with outside parties.

Information We Collect When You Make a Payment for Membership or Register for Independent Placements Event at our Online Registration Site.
Whenever you register on our Site, create a profile, become a member, renew membership, post a job opening, or register for an event online we request you to provide certain information that is for Independent Placements’ third-party service providers to bill your credit card company and fill your order. These sites use an order form that requests certain information about you, such as your name, address and credit card information, which is used to process your order or to contact you regarding your order. The ordering process requires our service providers to collect and process your credit card information or checking account number.

Site Usage Information We Track
When necessary, we may use your Internet Protocol address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Site. We also may track, in aggregate, the browser types of visitors to help us understand our visitors’ needs related to our Site designs.

By registering with Independent Placements, creating and managing your profile, becoming a member, renewing your membership, registering for an online event, or opting in when presented with choices, you have consented for us to use your information, subject to local law, in the following ways: 1) to allow you to create a profile, 2) to create a profile for you based on information that you have provided to us; 3) to contact you about Independent Placements Site updates, informational and service-related communications, including important security updates; 4) to inform you of other products or services available from Independent Placements; 5) to provide information about Candidates and Candidates’ potential employment interests to Schools; 6) to provide products and services to Schools to complete the recruitment and hiring process, such as access to information collected from Candidates; 7) to conduct surveys, questionnaires, promotions and contests, and to provide the results thereof such as success stories and contest winners; 8) to generate internal reports about the use of our Site; 9) to process purchases of our Services, membership, membership renewal and event registration as applicable; 10) to enable you to provide feedback, to contact us and for us to respond to you; and 11) to provide you with additional communications, information, and promotions such as newsletters, and information on our upcoming events.

Affiliate Sharing

Independent Placements does not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for the purposes of marketing their products or services to you. However, your personal information may be shared with any Independent Placements-affiliated organization, as permitted by law. We do not share, sell, or rent your individual personal information with or to any individual or organization except as permitted under this Privacy Policy, pursuant to your express permission, or as required by law.

Independent Placements may employ contractors or other third parties.
